james&shanon prefer a personal approach to business, and as such have an affinity for talking to people. For this reason the james&shanon webpage is developed to provide a basic overview rather than the endless rambling pages of unnecessary information.

The success of james&shanon, and more importantly, their client successes, have and will continue to flourish on the back of a few basic tenants. These tenants, when read in order, also explain in general terms what james&shanon do.
The tenants include:
james&shanon work with companies across a wide spectrum of business, from large companies exporting numerous products and services to global markets across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, to companies focused on ‘domestic domination’, to smaller business with new and highly innovative ideas that are creating something very special and have their sights set on great things.
Despite the breadth and scope of client relationships, there are a few ‘absolutes’ common to each, namely; an absolute desire to achieve success and to build something bigger and better – to give themselves the absolute best shot of success, and an absolute commitment to make it happen.
james&shanon also has a rather unusual rule, at least by conventional industry standards. Over the years the Company has adopted the stance of not working with ‘robotic’ emotionless companies. We believe business should be fun, and that over-the-top formality and so-called ‘corporate behaviour’ stifles success. James&Shanon promotes a relaxed but extremely professional work ethic, and believe that the process of achieving success is as important as the success itself.
Having dedicated over 11 years of his life to understanding in detail why companies consistently underachieve in the areas of growth and strategy, and what they need to do to excel, Shanon Grainger is regarded as one of New Zealand’s leading strategic thinkers and strategy entrepreneurs.
Shanon has worked across numerous industries and has considered literally hundreds of companies in devising strategy to achieve new and unprecedented levels of growth and performance.
Shanon believes that in many instances growth opportunities and general under-performance can be attributed largely to one or many of five factors. Shanon refers to these factors as “The Five Lacks”. Shanon’s Five Lacks are as follows:
Highly innovative by nature, Shanon is respected for his unique ability to quickly determine the nature of a problem, and to identify possible alternatives for further investigation. He believes that there is no such thing as a perfect business, and as such advocates for consistent revaluation of strategy and direction, and believes firmly in the notion of change as the only constant.

James Robson provides expertise in executing marketing strategy to deliver success to organisations that goes well above and beyond their expectations.
James studied and completed both undergraduate and postgraduate study at Lincoln University in Canterbury, New Zealand. Both areas of study focused on marketing and management and allowed James to develop ideals and philosophies that are the foundations to what he delivers today.
He believes that "...for any business to excel in today’s very competitive landscape they need to possess a well thought out and defined strategy and transfer that into a concise and well planned execution plan."
James has spent the past 11 years looking at a variety of business at every size and understanding them in more detail. The result of this has been a set of ever-developing processes and systems that are able to be applied to any business to ensure that unprecedented success. He is highly respected in driving organisation’s as close to their limits as possible as well as critically analysing any execution plan and reviewing and re-orientating that plan on a consistent and structured manner.
